Project Overview
Lokal Market is a local online marketplace project designed to help sellers list products and connect with buyers in a more community-focused way.
The goal was to create a platform that supports local selling without forcing the business into a complicated payment or shipping model. Sellers can list products, buyers can browse and inquire, and transactions can be handled directly between buyer and seller.
This project represents Ael Techie Workz’s experience in planning and building marketplace-style platforms, user workflows, product listing systems, seller verification, and practical online business structures.
The Challenge
A local marketplace needs more than a simple product catalogue. It needs to support different user roles, seller onboarding, product submissions, buyer browsing, admin control, trust signals, and clear rules for how sales are handled.
The main challenge was to design a platform that feels useful for local sellers while keeping the business model manageable.
The project needed to consider:
- Buyer and seller accounts
- Seller registration and verification
- Product listing workflows
- Product approval or admin review
- Local marketplace structure
- Seller dashboards
- Buyer browsing experience
- Direct buyer-seller communication
- Commission tracking
- Clear marketplace terms
- Mobile-friendly usability
- Hosting and deployment setup
- Domain and DNS troubleshooting
- Analytics and tracking setup
The Solution
Ael Techie Workz planned Lokal Market around a practical local marketplace model.
Instead of managing every part of the transaction, the platform can act as a connection point between buyers and sellers. Sellers list their products, buyers browse and contact sellers, and payment or delivery can be arranged directly between both parties.
This keeps the platform more flexible for local sellers while still giving the marketplace owner a structured way to grow listings, manage users, and support verified sellers.
Key Features Planned and Supported
Seller and Buyer Roles
The platform structure includes separate flows for buyers and sellers. Sellers need the ability to register, submit details, add products, and manage their listings. Buyers need a simple way to browse products and connect with sellers.
Product Listings
Product listings are central to the marketplace. The system supports product details such as title, description, price, images, quantity, category, and location-based information.
Seller Verification
Seller verification helps build trust. The platform can require sellers to submit business information, documents, or other verification details before being approved.
Admin Approval
An admin review process helps prevent low-quality listings, spam, or incomplete seller profiles. Admin approval can apply to seller registration, product listings, or profile changes.
Local Marketplace Flow
The platform is designed for local selling, meaning sellers and buyers can connect based on location, availability, and product interest.
Commission Model
The business model can support commission-based revenue after a completed sale. This allows the platform to earn from successful transactions without needing to directly manage every payment or delivery process.
Tracking and Analytics
Analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity or search performance tools can help review how users interact with the platform, where they drop off, and which parts of the website need improvement.
Technical and Business Support
The Lokal Market project included both technical and business planning. This included website/app planning, user flow structure, domain and hosting considerations, marketplace terms, seller onboarding rules, dashboard planning, and continuous improvement.
The project also involved troubleshooting technical setup issues such as domain mapping, favicon display, and hosting/DNS behavior.
Result
Lokal Market became a strong foundation for a local marketplace concept. It provides a structure where sellers can list products, buyers can browse and connect, and the platform can grow around seller verification, product approval, local discovery, and commission-based revenue.
This project shows how Ael Techie Workz can support more than basic websites. It demonstrates planning for user roles, marketplace operations, business rules, technical setup, and long-term platform improvement.
